THE ARTISTS BEHIND THE EVENT "DRAWING IN THE MARGINS" Stephanie Hafer and Corwin Levi!!!!

Stephanie Hafer is a multi-media artist most interested in storytelling. Currently her favorite mediums include video, photography, writing, and the occasional prank call.
She studied fashion design at Virginia Tech and English at University of Colorado in Boulder. She lives in Brooklyn but Detroit holds considerable real estate in her heart.

Corwin Levi is a visual artist who spends his time drawing cloud monsters, making tiny bouquets appear, and exploring terrariums in forests' discarded bottles. He marvels at synaesthesia, the view of the constellations from outside the city, and how many times the letter "i" can be squeezed into shine. In pursuit of such interests, Corwin uses a variety of media including paintings, drawings, children's books, sculpture, and video. He has a BA from Rice University and an MFA from the Tyler School of Art. He is coming to Detroit from residencies in the Czech Republic and The Millay Colony for the Arts earlier this year. Later this summer, he will be participate in a studio residency in Alexandria, VA, followed by an August show at Hillyer Gallery in Washington, DC. Corwin's continuing work can be seen at his website, www.radiosebastian.com.
